When the going gets tough, a stick worm is the bait we all go back to. This one sinks with that slow, shimmying fall that suspended and bottom-hugging bass just eat.
Salt is packed through the body with a concentrated fish attractant, so it carries weight for the cast and gives off scent the moment it lands. Pick imported PVC for a slow, steady sink or high-elastic TPE for a floating, suspending fall. A ribbed body pushes water and the tapered tail pulses on the drop. Ten baits to a pack.
Why it’s a daily driver
- Salt + concentrated scent — dense granules and attractant release on entry.
- Two materials — slow-sinking PVC or floating TPE to match your depth.
- Ribbed body — displaces water and adds vibration.
- Tapered tail — pulses with life on the fall and retrieve.
- Four ways to rig — Neko, free rig, light jighead, or drop-shot.
How to work it
- Neko insert a nail weight in the head and fish the weightless fall.
- Free rig tie direct and let it glide down.
- Jighead thread it on and swim or hop along bottom.
- Drop-shot hold it above a weight near structure.
- Work black-pit ponds, tournament water, rock piles, docks, and weed edges.
